Travis Scott Fortnite Concert 2020

The popular video game, named Fortnite, was developed by Epic Games in 2017. It has three distinct game mode versions like Fortnite save the world, Fortnite battle royale, and Fortnite creative. The Save the World and Creative versions proved successful for Epic Games, but the Fortnite Battle Royale, in particular, provided them more success by drawing in more than 125 million players in less than a year. They earned hundreds of millions of dollars per month, and it became a cultural phenomenon for them.

Travis Scott is a producer and a rapper who held a concert inside the game. The biggest reason for the popularity of Travis Scott is the larger-than-life concerts. The first Astronomical concert happened at 7 PM ET on April 23rd, 2020. The other four shows took place on Friday and Saturday after the first one so that the people of different time zones and having a different schedule could also get the opportunity to attend the other concerts.

Because of the Covid-19, everyone was stuck in their houses. No one was allowed by the government to go out except in an emergency. So, the team decided to do a virtual concert despite physical concert that could bring lives at risk. That was the most prominent digital concert where a massive number of people attended the live streaming inside the game without having a fear of pandemic. People attended the live session and had fun together sitting on their sofas at home without being ill.

The concert was fully animated, Scott's digital vision, but was scripted to be a 10-minutes show that was shorter than any physical concert. During that 10-minutes concert, as Scott moved from song to song, his virtual avatar changed from Cyborg to Fluorescent spaceman and so on. About 12.3 million people attended the show. It was literally the vast crowd that participated in virtual concerts. But, according to a new Forbes report, he earned roughly $20 million from that event. For comparison, in 2019, Scott earned $1.7 million on Astroworld.
On Thursday night, following the premiere, Scott tweeted that, that day was the most inspiring, and he loved every person connected with him during the concert. Additionally, Fortnite tweeted, “more than 27.7 million unique players in-game participated live 45.8 million times during the five events to create a genuinely Astronomical experience”.

The Travis Scott Astronomical Fortnite event, an epic game, took place at four different times for the fans living in other regions. People were present in the lobby 30 minutes before the concert went live. The pros for the people watching the concert were that they unlocked the feature of Astroworld Cyclone glider and two unique loading screens.
The question here is “what was the remarkable thing in that stunning event?”

The answer is that this concert, however, took "Fortnite's" wacky, nigh-limitless visual capabilities and ran with them. And, of course, that unpredictable and improvisational quality that defines a spectacular event. Moreover, according to The Verge's Andrew Webster, it was reported that Epic Games seemed to have learned from previous concert experiences. They also modernized and improved the features. It was, no doubt, the kind of experience that could only exist in a virtual space.
